In Indonesia "rempah" means spices. As for the mixture of different spices we called it "bumbu", and the composition of "bumbu" its quite complicated, in a sense, as Indonesian cuisines usually known as richly spiced.

Like other spices coriander is available throughout the year providing a fragrant flavor that is reminiscent of both citrus peel and sage. The fruit of the coriander plant contains two seeds which, when dried, are the portions used as the dried spice. When ripe, the seeds are yellowish-brown in color with longitudinal ridges. Coriander seeds are available whole or in ground powder form. It is green, leafy and strong-smelling with a fresh, citrus taste that makes it an invaluable garnish and flavour enhancer.

Ca alte mirodenii coriandru este disponibil tot timpul anului oferind un gust aromat care aminteşte de coaja de citrice şi de salvie. Fructe de coriandru plante conţine două seminţe care, atunci când uscate, sunt porţiunile utilizate ca condimente uscate. Atunci când coapte, seminţele sunt galben-brun în culoare cu crestele longitudinale. Seminţe de coriandru sunt disponibile întregi, sau sub formă de pudră pământ. Este verde, cu frunze şi puternic mirositoare cu un gust proaspăt, citrice, care face o garnitura de nepreţuit şi potenţiator de aromă.
