ontologija
Filozofski termin (iz metafizike) koji se odnosi na tvrdnje ili pretpostavke o prirodi stvarnosti: o tome kakav je "stvarni svet" i šta postoji u njemu. On se tiče onoga što Fuko naziva "redom stvari" - sistem podele stvarnosti u odvojene jedinice i supstance. Često postoji hijerarhijska veza u okviru ontologije: određene jedinice mogu da imaju dodeljeno prethodno postijanje, višu modalnost ili neku drugi privilegovani status. Ontologije su uvek definisane rečima, što samo po sebi transparentno dodeljuje privilegovan status rečima.
