Advanced red-eye reduction
A process that removes "red-eye" caused by light reflecting from the cornea of portrait subjects in pictures taken with the flash. Advanced red-eye reduction uses both low-intensity "preflashes," which are emitted before the main flash to cause the subjects' pupils to contract, and post-processing during recording to reduce any red-eye that is detected in the image after shooting.
